So why Hai Củ Lạc?
-
Before it was a brand, it was an image: two friends with their arms around each other’s shoulders.
Not necessarily going faster than anyone else – just wanting someone still by our side on the long road.
-
The name also comes from familiar things: a glass of beer, a plate of roasted peanuts, a table where people meet, nothing fancy. Small things, but enough to make someone remember an afternoon.
-
In the Hai Củ Lạc story there is also home, the memory of 88 and the infinity sign: not to say we will never face hardship, but to remind us that every stretch of the road still has more to be written – with perseverance, with friendship and with honest work.
88Two 8s stand side by side; turn one 8 on its side and you have the infinity sign.
-
That is why we keep Vietnamese names, written with every tone mark in place, choose cultural elements that mean something to us, and hope that one day, when you come across Hai Củ Lạc somewhere far away, the name will still feel close.
An arm around your shoulder won’t make the road any shorter, but it can make you want to keep going together
